Description:

The Town of Florence Highway Department is responsible for maintaining Town roads and related infrastructure to provide safe and reliable travel for residents and visitors. Services include road repairs, snow and ice removal, roadside mowing, ditch and culvert maintenance, drainage improvements, bridge and road sign maintenance, and highway construction projects.

The Department also maintains Town highway vehicles and equipment, manages road maintenance materials and supplies, and responds to weather-related emergencies and other road conditions affecting public safety. Under the direction of the Highway Superintendent, the Department works year-round to maintain Town roads and infrastructure and address the community’s highway maintenance needs.
